Origami artworks or those which are made by folding pieces of papers are first recorded in Japan at around 17th century. Since then, origami (from Ori which means folding and kami meaning paper) has become popular, eventually spreading outside Japan in the mid-1900s. From that period, origami has developed into a modern art as we know it today.
Basically, the goal of origami is to create a sculpture by folding and sculpting a flat sheet of paper without cutting and gluing. Nevertheless, such restrictions do not hinder skilled origami artists to create highly detailed, beautiful and creative sculptures like what you will see in this collection. If you like this article, please share it to your friends. We will also be glad to hear your thoughts about these awesome origami artworks. Enjoy!
