Right now, one of the hottest website pagination trends is jQuery infinite scrolling. If you happen to observe sites like Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter and DeviantArt, you will notice infinite scrolling in action, when the older contents load automatically when you reach the bottom of the page. This encourages the visitors of a website to stay longer and read further as the website deliver more content that is relevant automatically without any user action. If you like this web design stype you may want to check out my Pinterest WordPress themes article here. A slightly differnet but still similar web design style is single page websites. This type of website are often used for cool agency portfolios and product showcases. I have collected quite a few single page WordPress themes for building this kind of websites in a previous post, check it out! Some have parallax scrolling effects that really rock and impress the visitors. In addition, I would say that most portfolio website today are simply created using portfolio website templates with plenty of portfolio page template options.
From the design and usability perspective, infinite scrolling makes navigation easy since the content is loaded without additional page loading and without any need for active actions from the visitor. With such technique, infinite scrolling websites have greater chances of getting its contents exposed than websites with conventional pagination. It also tends to make them look modern, interactive and interesting.
In this post, we are sharing with you a jQuery scrolling plugin collection that can help you implement endless scrolling system on your website. Most of these infinite scrolling scripts are free, but I also added a premium product. If you have more infinite scrolling jQuery plugins we could add, please give us a link in a comment. We will also be happy to hear your opinion about this article and about infinite scrolling in general. Enjoy!

Infinite Pages – MORE INFO / DEMO (Premium)
Infinite Pages was designed for displaying large pieces of HTML data in more manageable chunks. When the reader reaches the end of the page, the script loads more content. It implements an ‘infinite scroll’ mechanism to load data, so the reader doesn’t have to load enourmous amounts of text / images onto the page all at once. This ensures a more comfortable reading experience for the user. Infinite Pages works by ‘paginating’ your data, and then feeding that data to the user ‘on demand’. This technique is known as ‘lazy loading’, and is becoming more and more common on the internet. An example of infinite scrolling is Google Images, where content is loaded as requested by the user.
