Everyone has a faster connection, better browsers and better computers and it higher expectations for websites to be interactive and dynamic. This has allowed and also forced web designers to use more fancy looking elements in their designs. A slider is a display of a series of selected images or HTML page elements. The terms slider and slide shows originates from the use of slides which have been around for many years – do you remember the overhead projector? Sliders in web design is an excellent way to showcase work, projects, products and they are typically placed on the best spot on websites – the front page above the fold.
